Whimsical, Sweet, Colorful, and Rich
What a whimsical read!
I’ll probably use that word about five more times in my review because
it is the perfect word to describe this story.
WHIMSICAL. It took me a long time
to decide to read this book, because the synopsis on the back of the book was
so iffy for me. A girl who discovers a
waitress hiding in her closet? Another
girl who experiences spontaneously appearing books? What in the world?! But hear me out… for this book is just
delightful. The characters are all so
lovable, and even relatable. I loved
the main character’s friend, Chloe, who recently discovered her boyfriend
cheated on her. I usually don’t love
reading things about infidelity, but this was portrayed in just the right way,
and I was so content with the ending of that love fiasco. I also enjoyed the main character, but
really, who can’t relate to a character who lives for eating sweets?
I was absolutely enthralled throughout this novel, and I’m
so so so happy I read it. It was sugary
sweet. And not a book I will ever forget about.
Yes, it’s that whimsical.
All my love,
SGH
